23 May Anaverna House

Anaverna House in Co. Louth - "This old house cradles itself in snowdrops, and sings when wind blows trough treetops and the heartbeat of the house still flowers like the pulse of dancing feet on the floor." John Noon

24 May Castletown

Castletown in Co. Kildare is Ireland’s first and largest Palladian style house, and is an important part of Ireland’s architectural heritage. Erected between 1722 and c.1729 for William Conolly, Speaker of the Irish House of Commons, Castletown House was designed to reflect its owner’s power and to serve as a venue for political entertaining on a large scale.

25 May Finnebrogue House

Finnebrogue House in Co. Down will host an evening of classical music on Saturday 25th May by the award winning wind quintet the Camarilla Ensemble. This fundraising event is being held in support of Hope for Youth NI, and will comprise an hour-long concert followed by drinks in Northern Ireland's oldest undefended house. Hope for Youth Northern Ireland helps fund cross-community projects that enhance the lives of disadvantaged young people aged 11-18 in Northern Ireland. By giving young people a glimpse of a less fractured society - focusing on cross-community activity that fosters teamwork and creativity - especially in the field of music, art, drama and the great outdoors - Hope for Youth NI aims to help break the cycle of violence that has troubled Northern Ireland for decades.

26 May Hugh Lane Gallery
